Training Resource
Jorge works with riders and trainers at all levels. Known for his expertise with young horses and developing jumpers he is able to pass on his life-long knowledge of horsemanship. Many clients clinic with him and work on specific things between his visits. A good match for those riders who work well independently as well as those with trainers. Several trainers bring students in for clinics for a fun and informative outing.  He has also started helping trainers and riders at shows in Atlanta and North Carolina, visiting their barns as well - an additional resource for established trainers.  An expert in jumper strategy, he brings a new perspective to showing in the jumper ring.  With his attention to basics he has also helped several riders attain their goals in the hunter ring as well.
Arena Footing
Jorge also is a valuable resource for arena footing, having competed and trained through the United States and Internationally.  He has seen many different kinds of footing and has helped several barns augment their sand arenas with great success.
Contact him for more information and visit to see examples of arenas in the Atlanta area.

Jumper Training for Horses and the Dedicated Rider

Jorge Ludwig, owner and director of Ludwig Stables, has been working with horses throughout his life.  He conducts clinics, trains and has competed in shows throughout the United States and South America.

Specializing in show jumping from the young jumpers to the upper levels, also welcomed are hunter and equitation riders as well as those competing in eventing. He teaches and works with riders of all ages and levels:  beginner to professional.

One of Jorge's specialties and talents is working with young horses as well as those who may be labeled as "difficult" but may just need some extra training and direction in order to focus their ability in the correct direction.

Jorge now travels to the Southeast and is showing several horses for clients from Training to Grand Prix level.  While in the Southeast, he works with clients and conducts clinics as well.

He will also work with riders at show venues.  This is comparable to a multi-day clinic making it a valuable experience for the horse and rider.  Several young professionals have appreciated utilizing his years of experience in conjunction with their existing program.  Many have commented that the reinforcement of their training is invaluable.

Jorge works with all levels of riders and horses with great success.  If you are not with a barn and would like help on a semi-regular basis, this is perfect for you!  Jorge travels to the Southeast every few months and is a great resource.   Clinic, then go back to your place with homework.  He is always available by phone if questions arise.

He also is open to bringing one or two horses to Stone Ridge Farm in Cumming for in depth "boot camp" for special training, whether it's a young horse, difficult horse or just helping someone with training their own horse. Several people have found this to be a great way to boost their training program.

Several top amateurs and professionals work with Jorge to fine tune their own horses - appreciating "Eyes on the ground" from someone with a lifetime of training horses both in the show ring and in the barn. Most recently, he has been helping eventers with their show jumping and they have had great success.
